We are seeking a Data Engineer to be the cornerstone of our new data and AI-based team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the data infrastructure from the ground up and lead the way in integrating advanced data analytics, machine learning, and AI into our core products. Your work will be instrumental in building and optimizing our data pipelines and platforms to enable the development of predictive models and personalized user experiences. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic startup environment and is eager to drive technological innovation.

Who are you?

• 4+ years of experience as a data engineer (preferably in a startup environment)
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields
• Strong SQL experience in querying large and complex data sets.
• Proficiency in data modeling specifically star schema methodology.
• Skilled in Python, capable of efficiently utilizing it for data manipulation analysis and developing pipelines within a large-scale data setting.
• Proven experience in building and deploying code in production environments
• Hands-on experience with data workflow management platforms like Airflow (advantage) 

What You'll Do:

As a Data Engineer at Now You Know, you'll be at the heart of our data-driven initiatives, working closely with stakeholders from tech, product, marketing, and growth teams. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing, and implementing scalable, robust data infrastructure and solutions to enhance our business analysis capabilities.
• Managing data pipelines from multiple sources, including their design, implementation, and maintenance to ensure seamless data flow and integrity.
• Collaborating with data scientists, data analysts and software engineers to build innovative tools and platforms.
• Creating and deploying new tech tools and data processes that empower analysts, marketers, and growth managers to leverage data effectively, driving actionable insights and company-wide impact.
• Being a key player in establishing our new data and AI-based team, influencing its direction and success.
